"Is Your Faith Strong Enough? A Personal Faith Checkup"
Hello Beautiful,
It is time for us to have a Faith Checkup!
It is important to check our faith right now because this is a season for miracles to take place. Since the beginning of the year, we have been hearing that God is getting ready to blow our minds. For this to happen, ladies, we need to be ready. We need to make sure we are in place to receive what God wants to give us. Throughout this blog, we will be examining scriptures and questions that will help us shape up for the season. Let's get to it!
Examining Faith Scriptures
Faith Equals Confidence
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. -Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Let's think about this scripture for a moment. Faith is having confidence in something that we want to happen, believing that, no matter what, it will be done. This scripture is saying that we need to believe without doubting. Confidence comes with having an understanding and knowing that something is good. God is asking us to have confidence in His word, not in our way. If we are aligned with Christ, the things that we desire come from God. Ladies, this is powerful because we no longer have to second-guess things. When we find ourselves second-guessing ideas, we need to make sure we are correctly aligned. If we align ourselves with God and hear from Him, the next step is to move on what He tells us to do.
Question: Ladies, can we commit to believing and trusting God's word without seeing?
Formed by God's Command
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. - Hebrews 11:3 NIV
Listen, Ladies, the world was created by God's command! Let this resonate in your spirit for a moment...
I hope that you all connected the dots. God is reminding us that He is the one who created everything around us. We are not asked to put our faith in something that does not work. We are asked to trust a Sovereign God, who has proved Him self-worthy to us. We should be praising God right here. God is telling us that the things that He has promised us, He will command them to come to pass. Look! That thing has to obey. The reasons we don't see the manifestation are we have to be ready for the promise, it has to be the right timing, and our hearts have to be right with God.
Question: Are we planted in faith right now, or are we blown with the wind?
Believe that God Exist
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
-Hebrews 11:6 NIV
God is saying that it is impossible to please Him without faith. This means it doesn't matter how much work we are putting into the kingdom, if we are doing it without faith it does not bring any pleasure to God. God can use our faithless work to help others, but He can't use us the way He wants to. Without faith, we can not have confidence that God exists. Faith is believing and not seeing.
Ladies this is a challenging point because we have to ask ourselves if we are questioning God's word and promises, then are we also questioning His very existence. How can we trust an author, but not his writings? Or how can we believe in a book and don't believe that writer exists?
Question: Ladies, where are we? Are we doubting the promise, like Sarah? Or are we persistently seeking God like Hannah?
The Wrap Up
Look ladies I am encouraged to build on my faith a little more. I do not want to question the very thing that God is putting in my hands. I want to be completely used by God. Let's be totally in agreement with God's word.
We do not have to see things to believe that God will make way. How strong is our faith? It is strong enough to whether the enemy attacks. I believe it is. If we have enough faith to give our hearts to God and believe that we can be saved from our sins, then we can have confidence to believe that God's will shall be done in our lives. Let's continue to strengthen our shield of faith by getting in the Word of God, being obedient, and moving without doubting.
Question: How do we show God that we trust in His will daily?
Thank you beautiful for spending time with me today!
May God bless you!
